11.5/9 The Majestic Saguaro
No movie Western would seem authentic without a few silhouettes of the majestic saguaro. The place to find a widest assortment of Arizona’s State Flower is in Saguaro National Park in Tucson, AZ. You will find all those grotesque shapes saguaros are noted for.
Jean at work along the Ajo Mountain Drive. Because of the rather dry year, she did not find as many flowers as one could hope for. Only very seldom, was I able to use flowers as a foreground in a photograph of a landscape.
Jean was able to capture this nice shot of an Engelmann Prickly Pear Cactus.
On day twelve, Jean will describe some of the birds this “birder” was trying to photograph.
